Earlier this year, Bobcat announced a new app for their Helium miners (if you do not know what Helium mining is, start here!). This was released shortly after Helium’s initial announcement stating hotspot makers will now have their own app rather than relying on the Helium App to onboard and manage miners.

Nothing really changed from having this net new app from Bobcat. Except, this change promised enhanced diagnostic features in the near future. Keeping true to their word, Bobcat launched remote troubleshooting features a few weeks back. As a Bobcat miner owner, this was great news. This meant if my miner was having any issues I no longer need to be on the same network as my miner in order to diagnose the issue.

I can be halfway across the world and now still initiate a Reboot, Reset, Resync, and FastSync if needed! This would also make it much easier to manage multiple hotspots in different locations. It would no longer involve being present at the physical hotspot location in order to troubleshoot and definitely encourage fellow Helium hotspots owners to set up miners in remote locations.
